The Wilson Trophy came to West Kirby Sailing Club and the Marine Lake on a lovely sunny and choppy day. I dashed down to the ‘Lake’ with my Nikon D60 to see what photographs i could take. Having been down the previous day and seen that it was actually too blustery  a day for safe sailing i was really glad that the wind had died down sufficiently for the boats to go out. And out they certainly where, dashing around the course with yells and bumps. I got talking to a guy there who was also taking photographs and he told me the rules and explained why  i could see some of the boats going round in circles, penalties, which helped make sense of the mellay.  I was very please to find out that this years winners were actually a home team. I believe West Wirral Hawks beat off all competition, well done them.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the photographs i took from this event, i have made a few tweeks to some of the images but the majority have stayed virginal, free from Photoshop.
